Location:
Hofstra University Museum
The Hofstra Museum’s distinct Let’s Explore Backpacks offer activity-filled ways for children and adult companions to explore together the outdoor sculpture collection on the University’s campus.
- Let's Explore Backpacks: (recommended ages 5-10) Children then create their own works of art to take home. Themed backpacks were created for specific age groups. Each backpack is available in English and Spanish.
- The Great Art Caper: Children (recommended ages 10-12) and adult companions can uncover clues to help solve an Art Caper mystery in the outdoor sculpture collection on Hofstra University’s South Campus. Children become detectives and have fun while discovering more about these works.
Pick up all backpack and caper materials during Emily Lowe Gallery open hours.
Tuesday - Friday, 11 am-4pm; Saturday and Sunday, noon-4 pm. Summer: (mid-May - Labor Day): Tuesday to Friday, 11 am-4 pm; closed weekends. Galleries are closed on major holidays during Hofstra University recesses, and during exhibition installations.
